Three friends – a little girl, a lizard and a chameleon – decide to have a race to find out which of them is the fastest. But they can’t agree on a race they all think is fair.
Really cute, fun, and well-written. It’s a simple story, but the book is designed well and it’ll certainly keep kids entertained.
So friggin adorable. I love, love, love the artwork in this one. Color work is beautiful, perspectives are lovely, and the layout of text/artwork is spot-on.
The artwork is great, but text treatment is mediocre. The font choice is a bit weak. They designer was on the right track (i.e. the choice to make “GO” large), but they stopped short of the mark. The font color choices get swallowed up for the most part in various sections of artwork.
In addition, “Ladi, Liz & Cam” is kind of floating on its own. There’s no clear indication whether it’s part of the title, whether it’s the name of the series, or what.
