Hans Christian Andersen (Author) | Sanna Annukka (Illustrator)
This is a well-known story, and it’s endured for good reason: It’s wonderful. It’s a beautifully told story about seeing good in the world. The story inspired the Disney movie Frozen, but (as is so often the case), the original is far better than any re-tellings or re-imaginings.
This beautiful story is brought to life through spot-on illustrations. The illustrator is a Finnish-English artist and printmaker, and her nature-inspired work perfectly matches the story. Truth be told, I grabbed this book because I was so excited about the artwork.
Beautiful blue cloth binding embellished with black and silver foil? What’s not to love?
