Story:
This is a really clever retelling of the well-known Bible story. The concept is quite smart, and even other adults were impressed by it. Read the book one way, and it tells the story from Zacchaeus’ point of view; flip the book around, and the story reads from Jesus’ point of view. It’s really a lovely way to read the story, and it makes it all the more impactful.
Illustrations:
Beautiful, bright, and engaging. Text treatment throughout the book is spot on.
Cover:
Both the front and back of this book are outstanding. On one side, you see Zacchaeus looking down. Flip it over, and you see Jesus looking up into the tree. Really nicely done.
